Thanks for visiting! May 08 Not tiredA couple of weekends ago, Boo had a friend spend the night and they stayed up too late and the next day she kept saying to me - "no mommy, I'm not tired" so we sent her to go clean her room after church and when it was time for lunch this is what we found.

The cookies were a hit and nobody found egg shell in their cookie. My niece gave me a big hug and thank you for making them which is way more than her ungrateful mother did, but that's another blog.
Kearney Soccer - check
The last game for the Kearney team Tink was playing with was on Saturday and since we had niece's graduation, she didn't go. Now it's over.
Dance Recital - check
Recital was Sunday. Well done as always. THe ballet was Swan Lake. And the whole performance was only 2 1/2 hours.
Track - check
Tink's last track meet was Monday - so Track's over
So that just leaves league soccer which will be over in a couple of weeks.
The spring activities are coming to an end. I'm so excited to maybe have a few nights with no where to go. (I'm so funny) BUT
Boo had her first softball practice tonight. And one of the coachs thinks she might be pitching material. (this is me screaming Nooooooo) And so now there is a free pitching clinic in Kearney Friday night. - crap
All the phamplets are starting to come home for all the camps this summer - volleyball camp, basketball camp, tennis clinic, church camp, dance camp, cheer camp, Vacation Bible School. The calendar is filling up........ again.
Aw such is life. I love that song Trace Atkins has out right now "You're going to miss this" that's what I keep telling myself. Someday when they are all grown up i'm going to wish I was still so busy.

April 28 OOPSI told my SIL that I would bake cookies for her daughter's graduation party this next Friday. So i've been baking. I mixed up some sugar cookies dough, then while that was chilling in the fridge, I mixed up some peanut butter. I'm going to make a confession, but don't tell anyone, cuz i don't even think i'm going to tell hubby. I accidently droped the egg shell into the mix while the mixer was running. I quickly turned the mixer off (after i gasped and cussed) and retreived the big chunks of shell, but I kept finding little pieces of shell in the dough. I'm just going to hope that I found them all! I have NEVER done this before-dropped the egg shell in the mix-and I will be very embarrassed if someome finds a chunk of shell in their cookie, but i'm using them anyway! I must have MY pillow when we travel. THere's just something about putting my head 3. I have a lazy eye. I can make it float out at will. Hubby can tell when I get tired, because when I zone off, my eye floats away. 4. I am not ticklish. I think this comes from when I was in high school and the boys always thought it was fun to come up from behind you and poke you in the ribs, it just got to the point the it didn't tickle anymore. 5. I love a good thunder storm in the middle of the night. Lightening that illuminates the whole room followed by the huge clap of thunder-the kind that shakes the whole house, reminds me when I was a young girl laying in my bed awake listening to it storm. WHen it rains in the middle of the night, I always lay in bed and think "what did we leave out that's getting ruined?" 6. I'm not very comfortable in social situations. I'm not good at small talk with people I don't know and I have a hard time just "joining" the group. maybe that come from always feeling like i'm being judged, idk. There you go - 6 quirks. Hubby & Tink helped me out a bit, and hubby wanted me to mention drooling when I sleep-but I don't do that (very often). Have a Great Weekend!
